The Grub: 2:00 AM Burger

Last week while I was at work Jeff sent me a text and asked me to pick up a few things on my way home:

  • Eggs
  • Jalapeno
  • Tomato
  • Hamburger Buns

He said he was going to make dinner for us.  "What on earth might he be making us that requires this seemingly random set of ingredients!?"

When I got home- I found my answer:  Bacon Cheeseburgers toped with sliced jalapeno, fried egg, lettuce, and tomato.  This was the first time I had ever had a burger with an egg on it, and let me tell you something:  ALL BURGERS SHOULD HAVE THIS.

It was soooo good I could even eat another right now.  Literally.  I mean my mouth is watering as I type.

So on Saturday night Jeff and I met up with a few other couples to go to dinner and go ice skating in the square.  (word of advice:  If you are going to the square to ice skate on a weekend night go at 6 or go at 11- never in between)  For dinner we headed to Rock Bottom.  Given the success we had with our burgers earlier in the week, Jeff ordered the 2:00 AM Burger  It looked amazing:

Like I said.  Every burger should come with an egg on it.  Go to Rock Bottom.  Order this burger.  I dare you to tell me other wise.

Our night was really fun.  Dinner at Rock Bottom with a round of lemon drops.  Palominos for beers and then ice skating :)  Great Holiday night!
