The Haps: Great Inland Seafood Festival

Note to self: Do not wait until Sunday to go, or they will be sold out of lobsters!

I meant to go to this last year and just never made it, so I jumped at the opportunity when the rents called and said they were headed to Newport:

The crab cake was the best thing we got by far.  Better than any crab cake at the Taste.  Hands down fools.

Hella Seafood.  Check out that imitation KRAB.  Shit don't get better than that.

Oh wait, something that used shrimp.  Change up!

More Shrimp and Veggies!  WHOA!

Sweet tooth.  Jim (Dad) wanted a deep fried twinkie-- veto, this was better.

Some fried stuff.  Gator on a stick and lobster puffs I think.

Some menu

More shrimp!

Oh look!! They put coconut on it!

Here it is on a stick!  Amazing!

This one came with a salad!  So much variety!

So as you can see, it was a bunch of shrimp prepared different ways.  I also go me some gator on a stick.

The weekend after this I went to Florida for vacation with Jeff.  Guess where the seafood was better... :)

Regardless, I'll probably go back again next year.  I just will have to order the shrimp.

Real note:  If you go to this, you won't need to order a ton of stuff so choose wisely.  EVERYTHING comes with veggies, rice, salad, pasta.. blah, blah, blah...
