Dishes with Dee: Fried Ravioli

If you don't love Italian foods, cheese and anything fried
then you're not invited to my birthday party.

Or to my house anytime during football season.

Easy snack.
Huge hit.

So here's what ya need:

1 package of frozen ravioli
Italian flavored bread crumbs
plenty of vegetable oil
a few eggs- beaten
marinara and ranch for dipping.

And here's what ya do:

Bring a large pot of water to boil and cook your ravioli for about two minutes.
Drain and rinse in cold water.

Dredge each rav in egg and then in bread crumbs and set on a cookie sheet.

Heat oil in a sauce pan.
You want to fill it about 2-3 inches deep or so.  I didn't measure, so sorry charlie.
Let oil get real, real hot.  You can test it by dropping in some bread crumbs, they should sizzle up.

Then, in batches of eight or so, fry the ravs up until they are golden.  It will only be a few minutes for each batch.  They will float, so be sure to turn them. Agitate the oil when you first put the ravs in so that they don't stick together.

Remove to paper towels to drain.
Since I was doing these in batches, I put them in the oven, set on its lowest temperature to stay warm while other batches cooked.

Serve with warm marinara and ranch.

Also do some spicy ranch if you is into it.
